The Whyman Group are a corporate events management company based in the North East. They plan, organise and project manage events throughout the UK. The company was started in 2000 and has organised large events for clients including Northern Defence Industries and the North East Chamber of Commerce.

The Challenge

Company directors, Emma and John Cartmell, needed a “made-to-measure” IT system that was able to perform project management and financial forecasting as well as event and delegate management. It was important that the system was capable of being upgraded so that it could keep up with the ever evolving nature of the business.

The Solution

Emma and John chose to invest in GreyRidge’s bespoke software for several reasons. Firstly the requirements of their system could not be met by a single off the shelf system, so a bespoke product was ideal. In addition, the fact that it was web– based meant that the company could be run without a central office, and work could be done at any time and location.
