Remember Victor Kiam? "I loved it so much I bought the company"? North East entrepreneur Emma Cartmell has just done a similar deal except with a modern twist - she loved her event management software so much she bought the global rights to market it!

Back in 2006, Emma's leading UK events company The Whyman Group asked software authors GreyRidge to design some event management software for the business. The software then proved so successful that she realised that it had great international potential.

Fast forward to 2009 and after a period of frenetic R&D "Event Management 360" has just been launched using what has been called the "SaaS" model. In plain English this means that you sign-up online and do everything over the Internet. Emma says "the software is so simple to use that we felt it would make a massive difference to event managers across the world. We knew it was good and so the logical conclusion we came to was to grab the sales and marketing licence for the whole world. We are now lproud to promote what we know will be a leading product".
