Leadership

A small, experienced leadership team — and a company deliberately structured so the work does not depend on it.

Greyridge has been authoring business-to-business software since 2005. Over that time the company has grown from a single product into a portfolio spanning franchise management and ISO compliance, sold both directly and through established distribution partners.

The directors

The company is owned and led by its two founder-directors. Tony Johnston leads on product strategy, marketing and commercial direction, drawing on more than twenty years in franchise software. Tom Hill leads engineering and technical operations across the product range.

Between them they set direction and hold oversight. They do not, by design, sit in the critical path of day-to-day delivery.

Built to run without us

A founder-led company is only as valuable as it is dependable, so Greyridge has been shaped to keep running whoever is in the room:

  • Dedicated teams operate each product, with documented processes rather than founder knowledge holding things together.
  • Partner distribution takes several products to market, so revenue does not rest on any single person or channel.
  • A shared platform underpins the newer products — common security, infrastructure, payments and data — so the portfolio compounds rather than fragments.

This is a deliberate choice. It keeps the business stable through change, and it means the value sits in the products, the customer relationships and the teams — not in the founders.
